What you should know about bicycle repair and service
When choosing where to get your bike repaired or tuned up, there are a few important things to consider.
First, what is the
experience of the mechanics, and what is their
commitment to quality workmanship? At Jolley’s Alternative Wheels, the owner is the primary mechanic. Shane Jolley has 27 years experience servicing bicycles, and he enjoys the problem solving involved in repair work. The other mechanics at Jolley’s are either experienced mechanics as well, or are working and learning under Shane’s supervision. This means that you can be confident in the work being done on your bicycle.
The second consideration is
turn-around time. At Jolley’s we understand that waiting for your bike while the season passes by is no fun. Because we are cyclists too, we do our best to have your bike back to you within two to three days, even in the peak season. At times, it may take a little longer due to overwhelming volume or a custom part order, but we will always do our best to keep you riding rather than waiting.
The third consideration is
value for your dollar. Our rates are not the cheapest available, nor are they the most expensive. But our rates are, without question, the best value for your dollar. Some may charge less, but the work may be inferior, resulting in more downtime for your bike. Others may charge more because the repair service is a sideline to their business. At Jolley’s, the service department is the core of our business. Anyone can sell you a bike, but not everyone can fix it properly. We take pride in our work so that you can enjoy more time in the outdoors.
